KNOWVERSE LMS Paid Course Terms

Effective August 18, 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern the rights and obligations of Knowverse (the “Company”) and users (“Members”) for online educational content and paid purchases through the KNOWVERSE LMS.

2. Definitions

  1. “Course” means digital educational content, including text, slides, audio, quizzes, and links to practice notebooks.
  2. “Paid Course” means a course that becomes available after payment and entitlement issuance.
  3. Unless stated otherwise, “lifetime access” means access without a fixed end date while the Company operates the service.
  4. “Course commencement” means the Member's first access to any paid lesson in the purchased course.

3. Accounts

Members must provide and maintain accurate account information. Accounts and course entitlements may not be shared, transferred, or resold.

4. Course delivery

  1. Courses are delivered digitally. Some exercises run in an external environment such as Google Colab or the learner's own computer.
  2. The Company does not host or redistribute public datasets such as PhysioNet data. Learners download them directly and must follow each provider's current terms and license.
  3. The LMS is for education only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, clinical decisions, or medical-device decision-making.

5. Price and payment

  1. The course page displays the final price and currency. International payment is processed through PayPal.
  2. The server, not the browser, determines the price and grants access only after a verified capture.
  3. Fraudulent payment or abuse may result in refusal or revocation of access, subject to applicable law.

6. Copyright

Course content belongs to the Company or its lawful licensors and is licensed for the Member's personal study. Unauthorized copying, recording, distribution, transmission, derivative use, public performance, account sharing, or resale is prohibited.

7. Governing law and support

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Contact +82-70-4442-6680 or thomas@knowverse.net for support or dispute resolution.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Paid courses are digital content. Before payment, Members receive this notice and separately agree to the restriction that applies after course commencement.

Before course commencement

A Member may withdraw within seven days from the payment date, provided that the Member has not accessed any paid lesson. The Company will issue a full refund.

After course commencement

Because supplied digital content cannot be returned in its original state, the statutory withdrawal right may be restricted after the Member first accesses a paid lesson, under Article 17(2)(5) of Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. Separate consent is collected at checkout.

Content not supplied as described

If content materially differs from its description or is not supplied as agreed, the Member may seek withdrawal or cancellation within three months after supply, or within 30 days after learning of the issue, whichever applicable period is later under Korean law.

How refunds are processed

Request a refund by phone or email. The Company processes an approved refund to the original payment method within three business days after receiving the withdrawal request; the payment provider may take additional time to post it. The associated entitlement is revoked when the refund is completed.
